Hampton History 101

Owners Ron and Dennis Hampton (father and son) began in 1996 with nothing more than a $1000 tax refund check, a rented 1100 sq.ft. building, and a rusty old van.  It all started from driving alleys on the weekends picking up anything they could make a dollar on, attending auctions and estate sales, to refinishing antiques and furniture, then later tinkering with appliances. A true American Pickers story before there was a tv show. Then, in approximately 2001- 2002, they made the brave decision to get out of the furniture and antiques all together and focus 100% of their attention on refurbishing quality pre-owned appliances.  They have never looked back! Co-founder Ron Hampton has since passed away (Feb ‘21). Meanwhile, Dennis and his family continue to build the legacy of Hampton Appliance.

Fast forward 28 years, they have grown this small business into what we see today.  An amazing team with multiple employees and contractors. Almost 20,000 sq.ft. of under-roof space in two locations housing more than 1500 appliances and continuing to break sales records year after year. WOW!!! True rags to riches story of hard work, sweat and tears along with some really long hours. Proof the American Dream is still very much alive 🇺🇸.
